Okay...so, here's me trying to start something that should more than likely not be started.
I was thinking about game stereotypes in regards to our group (in essence I think Artemis has done something like this before). So I decided to take a fly through a few of my games and see where people add up...Basically what I'm going to do here is post about Johnathan and y'all can post your input, how you view your characters, feed back ("What? John isn't like that! He's..."), etc.
Johnathan strikes me as an Auron-esque figure mixed in with a little Dante from Devil May Cry. He wields a big sword and has a very "American" style of shoot (I.E. shoot enough bullets and hope you hit...thank you Alan Quartermane.). And while usually he doesn't say much he will occasional pop off a smart-ass comment or a nuget of wisdom.
Let the heckling and comparisons begin!

No, I can see John like that. only with more of a sense of humour then auron or dante, and without half the silent angst.

as for Flip's role, I don't know, art put him down as comedy relief, I guess that's the closest thing I can come up with for him too. When I made him I was basing him off some kinda cross between, Casey Jones (ninja turtles), Chad (Sailor Moon), Bill and Ted (Bill and Ted's adventures), and Vash the Stampede (trigun) What he's turned into, iIjust don't know anymore, and I'll leave for you guys to figure out.

I can totally see bill and ted and vash the stampede...don't know about this chad guy (I never really watched sailor moon) and casey jones? Maybe in the beginning a little...but you still lack a hockey mask and a thing full of random sporting goods

So, is Mig something akin to Don Juan and a John Woo hero?

actually Flip has the WP hockey stick and still carries a baseball bat and magic jazzball around as part of his arsenal.

I've always figured mig to be the answer to, "what would happen if indana jones took up the tao philosophy?"

Antonio Banderes with just a sprinkle of the karate teacher from the Karate Kid...whatever the heck his name was.

i'm not so creative with TW or any magic items to know how or what with to enchant them. though i'm thinking of getting the baseball bat enchanted with some kind of huuuuuge knock back factor spell, for an out of the park swing. cause that'd be hilarious to see happen

maybe with a wind rush added in there, you'd want them knocked into the air first, so they'd really go flying.

So, maybe you could add in a featherlight effect as well to the mix. So...when you knock someone off their feet, they suddenly lose all weight and get blown into the next state! I like this idea, it has comedic value!

Not sure what Kyri would be anymore

well, john's the meat shield quiet guy, Flip's the comedy relief, mig's the philosopher fighter, kyri would probably be the quick and fidgety, hyperactive one. every group has at least one of them

Can anyone else see Kyri saying, "Kairi? Who's Kairi? I'm the GREAT ninja Yuffi!"
...and maybe I've played a little bit too much Kingdom Hearts for my own good. Hush.

So, is Mig like Chow Yun Fat's character in Bulletproof Monk?

well yuffie's also from final fantasy , so ya can see her hyperactiveness there, but, in most anime shows there's almost always at least one hyperactive one

Yeah...it does make them Yiff.
So, Mig is the philosopher fighter of the group? I won't use Neo as a reference so as to not be insulting, but why do I have to be a meat shield? I couldn't be a tank, could I?
We need to slap something onto Mig as a reference that we can all get...I'm suprised this is proving as difficult as it is...Cliff from Star Ocean III? Though he's less of a philosopher...*snap* I got it! He's like RUFUS from Bill and Ted with the ability to kick your ass! *brilliant* ;D

Art's hard to place because he's based on so many people. Truthfully personality wise his best match is probably Captain Picard, even though he is one character i didn't base art on

Sorry, I can't see Art's voice ever saying "Star date 239459-494. We've just entered into space over Hawaii and hope to make peaceful contact with it's people. Our resident informant, Noalani, has told us that it is a peaceful place. Let us hope she is right..." With an outside shot of Keelie looming over the Hawaiin islands...
No...I can't see it. I guess for pure personality though, that's a fairly good estimate.
