Some things to think about - using the psuedo scientific methods of Marvel Comics tm to bring up good mutant power combos.
Mutation Concept - Light Warping (energy)
The mutant's body seems to be constantly metabolizing and manipulating photonic (light) energy. This is not heat, but light itself. The character may have occassional light effects happen around them or seem to come from them, such as a soft glow (about 60 watts) in some odd color, odd reflections of light from the character's skin, or even diffusion of light, possibly even into spectral light bending.
So, with this concept, there are actually many powers that can apply. A good mix should be either two majors (related to light energy in some way) or one major and up to 4 minors (possibly 5 minors). The minor power Bend Light is integral to this character's mutation, so it should always be choosen first when making selections. Here is a list of the possible other powers.
Majors - Control Darkness, APS: Light, APS: Shadow, Holographic Memory Projection, Invisibility, Create Force Field, Force Aura, Cloaking, Totem Energy Aura, EES-Light, EES-Shadow
Minors - Bend Light (required), EE-Light, EE-Shadow, EE-Energy Aura, Energy Shield, Energy Whip, Energy Flight, Energy Resistance, Personal Force Field, Nightstalking, Radar, SV: UV & IR, SV: Advanced Sight, SV: Nightvision, SV: Acute Sight, SV: Circular Vision, SV: Thermal Vision, Color Manipulation.
The vast number of possible combinations here make for several wonderful variations on the light warping theme. I did the math, so trust me here. There are 55 possible combinations of just the 2 major powers option. For one major and three minors plus Bend Light there are 7480 possible combinations. Don't try to count them, you'll go insane (assuming you haven't acquired that certification already, of course).
