Ok, as I am playing a Rogue Scientist I should be inventing stuff, and this thread is about stuff I have or will invent in Nekira's game. (provided I don't get kicked out for making fun of your ear buds)


First thing I have made was a simple facial recognition program that my eyes use. Its a simple program that recognizes certain people and obscures them in my field of vision so that they are less attractive.

I did this because certain members of the party are simply distracting to have around without some method of obscuring the view.

So to my field of vision little miss PB 55 is covered in a "Digital Burka" and brought down into a more down to earth PB of 20.

by the end of last session I added the Shifter's Elf to program.

I can probably add this program to any sufficiently advanced optics system.

Also this program could probably be adapted to protect someone from gaze attacks.

Ok, I've been thinking bout a Scanning Chamber.

Not many people know this but the room in a hospital that contains an MRI machine has to be specially made. Instead of steel in the walls they use fiberglass bars and they join them with zip ties instead of wire. They do this because a MRI machine can be thrown off by the reinforcing in the walls. I also know that certain DARPA Buildings are made in this manner because the instruments they use are so precise that the slightest background anomaly can throw them off.

My idea is to make a Specialized chamber for high detail scanning and equipping it with higher than standard quality scanners.

the thing is, this is not so much something that needs to be invented as something that needs to be built, I guarantee you this sort of thing already exists. Heres what I think it would cost:

for a 10"x10"x10" scanning chamber:

I'm thinking an object could be placed in the scanning chamber and have detailed information gleaned from it after 30 minutes ate a +25% to ones Sensory Equipment Skills (+30% if the Chamber can be flooded with a noble gas).

I think the PB Nekira gave for the Nymph was a bit off. She said it was 30, but the highest possible for a Nymph is 24, and for this one I rolled an 18.

Yashagorô, while a shifter, grew up in the Republic and has no qualms about using technology. In fact, he would like to get two or three cybernetic implants at some point that would help with his magic research, such as a headjack. He is a researcher and scholar who has chosen magic and the supernatural as his subject of focus.

Working on the Plant monster, the potential from super nutritious crops to MDC textiles is very impressive with this one, but I'm not making much progress (unless Nekkie says I am)

Hey Nekira, Its occurred to me that my Portable scan Dhilator is not giving me all the info I want.

I want to replace the radar setting of my Dhilator with a Sonic Pulse system (Bionics Sourcebook page 97) and add a Molecular Analyzer (also a cybernetic doodad).

I also want to spend some time examining that box.
