I was looking at the character creation process for this game, and saw that it consisted of four basic part; early childhood, late childhood, getting an education, and real life, each with modifiers and random rolls for events.
I started thinking, did some more reading, then started some more thinking. Then I did some more reading, and more thinking, and finally, some more reading and some critical thinking. I came to a conclusion...
...Palladium Books should have something like that for their games. So, I started thinking which game would it work best for these tables, and decided that it was After The Bomb, since they don't have OCC's. Thus was born a project of mine that I intend so submit to the Rifter when it is finished.
My apologies if this is in the wrong forum; it's been a while since I was last here.

So adapt the table to Palladium or write your own for the Rifter.

Those tables can be cool, but I don't like canonizing them.

That's why I roll 3+ d6 instead of 2, and chose the two I like. Either that, or pull a Munchkin and use the "Farce" to alter my dice rolls. Basically, I consider them "suggestions" as opposed to absolutes.

I used to like the old Battletech...I have not seen 3rd Ed. What sorts of changes have they made for it?
