This is where I will list our gear by personnel. More forthcoming.
Suggested standard armor: Variant of Crusader Armor (RUE) with Samurai (or some other) styling, instead of european knight styling. (95 MDC, 24 pounds). We'll have an armored suit for a uniform, so we can go to civilian functions with some basic protection.
We also get access to exo skeletons for certain folks. I suggest we train up Kenji for it, and use the extra weight he'll be able to carry, to allow him carry folks out of battle (in true medic fashion), as well as lug around all kinds of equipment. The one made in Japan for the military and the police grants +8 PS and Spd, and -50% fatigue.
I have sent Nekira my suggestions for comm and video equipment for everyone.
We're supposed to be issued 20% of the group power armor. Given how useless this is to us, why don't we see if we can channel that funding into improvements for the garage and the vehicles.
Weapons to be finished later

Yashagorô wears a suit of Millenium Tree armor.
We received those earbuds in the last session, but, without an environmental helmet, one thing he could use is some sort of ear protection to go along with those to protect from Thunderclap spells and Boom Guns and such.
Also, he has some basic tinted goggles, but something with additional features like infrared, nightvision, and other standards you find in cybernetics and tech helmets would be nice.

Also, he has some basic tinted goggles, but something with additional features like infrared, nightvision, and other standards you find in cybernetics and tech helmets would be nice. I've got something for that, and I'll post it this week. Basically its a pair of headphones less than a 1/4" thick, maybe 2 or 3 ounces each, and packed with microcircuitry. Acts as a sound dampner, a 10 mile radio with heavy encryption, and has a micro camera mounted over the left ear (usually) so a command center or command APC can use them to track you and figure out what you're facing. It uses the same type of bone mic as the ear buds, and provides the same bonuses. It also acts as amplified hear, but in normal ranges of hearing only (no ultrasonic). They are either mounted in a helmet, or attached to a pair of multioptic goggles (actually they are closer to wrap around glasses than goggles, but they do seal away the eye) that will protect from blinding the same way polarized optics do. The goggles also act as a means to view video sent over team comm channels, allowing the spread of maps, pictures, and other visual information. They can also be attached via a headband (without the optics). They have a slight fox point to the top of them, in keeping with the name of the group. They completely cover the ears (otherwise they couldn't provide the sound dampening). Oh and as for the Millenium Tree Armor, just be careful. We can't replace that for you. The normal armor above we can. And yes, I know they are HUGE RB. I know. Honest.

Wouldn't it cost as much to repair a suit of Millenium Tree Armor at an alchemist as it would to repair a TW suit? Or even less, considering that Techno-Wizardry is comparatively rare in Japan. And if the suit is completely destroyed, well, then I'd have other things to worry about

It would cost more to bring in an alchemist to repair millenium armor (is that even possible - got to go reread England real quick) than it would be for Arashi to replace and/or repair technological body armor.
TW items are as rare as Millenium items are in North America. With the right contacts you can get them, but only the most basic and popular stuff. All the more rare stuff is kept for the few who make them (most of which are ninja).

If it has to be natural, then the best we can manage is leather made from some sort of MDC animal (Arashi has a MDC Eel jacket for example).

We need to keep an Eye out for MDC critters and MDC bamboo,
If I can get some cuttings of the roots of MDC bamboo most peoples armor problems are solved.
Mutated Silkworms are another interesting avenue I want to follow.
there should be a black market for Mage armor in japan like any other part of earth, how do you think the kingdom gets its samurai armored.
my advice is to pick up a copy of Rifter 22 and using the mage armor in that book (not cannon but the article is written by Kevin so its good enough for me).

MDC Bamboo sounds chinese, but I could be wrong.
Yes, as I have the armorer skill, I can repair natural material armor, and reasonably keep it in stock, however, you're looking at low MDC armor, at best. Enough to keep you from getting knifed in the downside, but not enough to protect you in the heat of battle. Hope you have an armor spell.
Edit: I made the following as a direct analog of the NG-A8 Scout armor in Merc Ops (p.88). Its different (weighs less, costs more, gives bonuses to swim), but largely the same. I'm making a judgement call that someone would have seen the need and done such a suit. For your approval Nekira.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Imanishi Naturals Line Body Armor While there are more than a few body armor producers, there is a growing need for natural material body armor with modern armor sensibility. Many corporations keep magic users on their payroll these days, and the development of combat armor that will not impede their abilities has been slow in coming. Today there is the Naturals Line of Body armor from Imanishi, Inc. Made from a wide variety of animals, mostly aquatic, these armors include bone and leather plating that is supple and responsive, yet completely impervious to small arms fire. While they are non-enviromental, care has been taken to ensure that the fabrics breathe as much as possible. They can be cleaned like any other leather, making care and upkeep a breeze. Imanishi also sells patch kits that will allow holes to be fixed with a minimum of that patched over look. The suits are available in a wide variety of colors, including an all natural look.
The suits have seen an upswing in popularity in another market: sailors and commercial fisherman. They are light enough not to interfere with work, are streamlined and watertight, like a dry suit, and provide protection against sea borne predators. While there are many suits with sligthly better prices, none have the full range of features these simple suits do.
Class: IM-N1 Materials (and subclass): Shark(a), Eel(b), Giant Octopus(c), Giant Squid(d), Mix (e) Size: Human equivallent Weight: 10 pounds Mobility: Excellent mobility +5% to swim, -5% to climb and other physical skills. M.D.C. by Location: Helmet: 25 Arms: 25 each Legs: 35 each Main Body: 50 Cost: 35,000 credits.

The Fox Fire Audio-Visual Enhancement System is a state of the art answer to many of the cybernetics many soldiers, police, and security personnel take for granted. It consists of two seperate parts, attachable as a single whole. Fox Fire Communications Headband. These compact ear coverings stick out less than a eigth of an inch, but contain a wealth of electronic systems. Sound dampening technology, similar to the cybernetic system, a long ranged ultra secure radio with 10 mile range (and a -35% chance to be hacked via cryptography, with 15 programmed channels, chosen by subvocalized voice command), and sound amplification, similar to ultra hearing. A whisper can be heard at a distance, but the sound of a boom gun is muffled so as not to cause damage. A secure cell phone, for use in the city, is included as well. A camera is mounted over left ear, and the video is transmitted back to a recieving station, such as the command center or the APC. The Ear Coverings have a slight fox ear shape to them, by custom order. 7,000 credits (4900 after discount) Fox Fire Multi Optic Goggles These ultra compact goggles provide all the usefulness of a multi-optics helmet in a goggle package barely larger than a pair of wrap around sunglasses. Thermal, Passive Nightvision, Infrared, Ultraviolet (all with 2000' range), and Telescopic Optics (2 mile range) are all standard. A video link is included, so that it can be synced to the communication headband, and tactical displays and video calls can be recieved. The band for the goggles also is the band for the Communnication package. 5600 credits (3920 after discount)
