C/M Heavy industries is the arms and technology manufacturing firm that Caligo and Jack McGinnly have founded to manufacture and sell their designs as well as the fruits of the industrial equipment the Platinum Shield has found on their various missions. C/M is the primary manufacturer of the Platinum Shield's equipment behind Naruni, the New Republic and other manufacturers and is the main financial backer of the city and its standing army. C/M follows a design philosophy similar to Northern Guns where an emphasis is put on value, ruggedness and ease of use before all other features and their reliability has made them popular with adventurers of all walks of life.

Filling the gap between a laser pistol and a laser rifle the C/M-50 is a weapon for vehicle pilots and personnel who do not not expect heavy combat. The C/M-50 is a Compact pulse laser with an appearance reminiscent of the old Israeli military's micro-tavor. Like the sub machine gun it shares an appearance for it is a compact bull pup rile with multiple mounting rails for easy addition of accessories and under barrel weapons.
