[21:29] Dakoiah: "he is a d-bee known as a rumbler. I don't know his strong points as far a fighting, but I've heard he doesn't have any psionic capabilities. He does seem to favor Kittani weapons, and and any weapon that does a large amount of damage before actually killing you. He's a sick bastard who enjoys inflicting pain on others"

[21:40] Dakoiah: *nods* "that would explain the rumors I'd heard of ships rotting out from under his enemies, amongst other things. I wonder if Aliza can get to him somehow. I've never seen a person with more psychic capabilities than her"
[21:43] Matt: *makes a face* "Quite possibily. However, if this Kyrang is not the only Rumbler we will be facing, it will be a hard fought battle merely to reach him. What other sort of forces does he have at his command?"
[21:47] Dakoiah: "i've never actually seen or heard of any other rumblers out with him in the ships. He often has ram rats with him, as well as some humans, lizaard men, a variety of different d-bees, and some giants"
[21:49] Matt: *raises an eyebrow* "Ram rats as well... cannon fodder for the Unholy. None of these creatures seem to be the greater of the Unholies minions, which we should be grateful for..." *thinks for a moment* "I... We... may need to make a trip to Wormwood..."

I was hoping with the group, we could figure out a stategy to get to him. I don't have enough money to pay any mercenaries..."
[22:04] Matt: "Mercenaries? Is that who you think I associated with in Wormwood?"
[22:05] Dakoiah: "I couldn't think of a better term" *shrugs* "I would want to repay anyone for any help they could offer. Kryang is my problem..."
[22:08] Matt: *tilts his head slightly* "You would have a common enemy. They are knights and those who battle the Unholy and it's forces wherever they go."
[22:09] Dakoiah: "so they know the enemy. Well, if nothing else, they may be able to help us with strategy...." *looks thoughtful*
[22:11] Matt: "Even knowing our group and their capabilities, I would still call for their assistance. They would be an invaluable source of information as well as battle prowess. Each of them are seasoned veterans, born in a world that I daresay is more lost to darkness and evil than our own."

[22:13] Matt: *nods slightly* "I understand your trepidition, Anna-san. And I can do nothing to assuage your fears except that I know what I know and I know what I have seen..."

[20:26] Matt: *shakes his head* "I am already twice the Lady Chu'Si's age, Anna-san. I dedicated a full two decades to my training and developing my abilities, before I had even encountered the Lady Chu'Si or the Shaded Fang. The truth is, I do not have time to be jealous over My Lady's wishes. My only desire for her is for her to be happy, and for that, I will do whatever it is that is necessary to make that happen."
[20:28] Dakoiah: "I don't know if I can do that. That is what I am struggling with, and until I figure out if I can..." *shrugs again* "well,, then I'll have an answer then"
[20:30] Matt: *nods* "I understand, Anna-san. And you have my sympathies over how this situation has come to pass for you. I am afraid that you are correct though. Until you have your answer... you will not achieve any sort of peace."

[20:31] Matt: "Just know, that for Jeff-san, like My Lady... Our time might be long, theirs is not." *nods slightly* "And I have nothing more to say on this subject until you might ask for my aid in it again, should that time come."

[21:15] Matt: And Anna was about to explain the "Everything and Anything" about South America... and the answer probably isn't 42.

[21:17] Dakoiah: *frowns at the ground, obviously thinking hard, then starts slowly* "where we will be going is to the waters surrounding Jamaica. It's hot and humid, and you will have to be careful to pack any provisions carefully as they can go bad very quickly"
[21:19] Matt: *raises an eyebrow* "Anna-san... considering that I have lived off of the land my entire life... I would assume as much."
[21:20] Matt: "Dried goods meats and goods are the only things I take with me when I go out into the wilderness. Otherwise I hunt."
[21:21] Dakoiah: *smiles* "have you ever dealt with humidity? It changes things. We will be pretty much on water most of the time. I would like to find a way to board kryangs ship without notice, it would help a lot. Have you ever been on a ship before?"
[21:22] Matt: *frowns* "No, Anna-san. There has never been a need for it..."
[21:23] Matt: "I have never been to a large enough body of water that it required a ship..."
[21:24] Dakoiah: *nods* "it's a bit different that fighting on land. I will keep us away from Kryang for a bit to allow everyone to get thei sea legs. You will need all of your balance to fight between ships."
[21:26] Dakoiah: "Kryang himself will be a bit of a challenge, I think, even for us. He commands multiple large ships, and he's smart and strong. We will have to take him at sea. Fortunatly, the orb I have is important enough to him that it has made him come looking for me personally
[21:29] Matt: *makes a face* "My balance is acceptable, Anna-san."
[21:29] Dakoiah: "he is a d-bee known as a rumbler. I don't know his strong points as far a fighting, but I've heard he doesn't have any psionic capabilities. He does seem to favor Kittani weapons, and and any weapon that does a large amount of damage before actually killing you. He's a sick bastard who enjoys inflicting pain on others"
[21:29] Dakoiah: *shakes her head at Elex* "it's different on a ship"
[21:31] Matt: *eyes go wide suddenly* "What did you say he was, Anna-san?"
[21:31] Dakoiah: "I've also heard he knows some magic, and I've heard rumors of ships crumbling under his ...." *looks at Elex* "a rumbler"
[21:34] Matt: *closes his eyes and his lips tighten significantly, if you would have thought it possible for this elf to swear, he might be doing so right now...*
[21:35] Dakoiah: "you know the race?"
[21:36] Matt: *takes a deep breath and sighs it out slowly, regaining some composure* "I know of them..."
[21:36] Dakoiah: "sounds ominouus"
[21:36] Matt: "They are a servant race for a group of beings known as the Unholy. They serve as shock troops and brawlers for the Unholy's dark forces..."
[21:37] Dakoiah: "sounds like something Kryang would do. The rumor is that he was accidentally rifted here with some of his buddies. He just took over wherever he landed in South America"
[21:39] Matt: "A group of Rumblers..." *frowns* "That is ominous. The Rumblers have an affinity towards elemental magic..." *seems to think for a moment* "And they lack any psychic capabilities... As do all denizens of Wormwood..."
[21:40] Dakoiah: *nods* "that would explain the rumors I'd heard of ships rotting out from under his enemies, amongst other things. I wonder if Aliza can get to him somehow. I've never seen a person with more psychic capabilities than her"
[21:43] Matt: *makes a face* "Quite possibily. However, if this Kyrang is not the only Rumbler we will be facing, it will be a hard fought battle merely to reach him. What other sort of forces does he have at his command?"
[21:47] Dakoiah: "i've never actually seen or heard of any other rumblers out with him in the ships. He often has ram rats with him, as well as some humans, lizaard men, a variety of different d-bees, and some giants"
[21:49] Matt: *raises an eyebrow* "Ram rats as well... cannon fodder for the Unholy. None of these creatures seem to be the greater of the Unholies minions, which we should be grateful for..." *thinks for a moment* "I... We... may need to make a trip to Wormwood..."
[21:49] Dakoiah: (sorry, amending here. Kryang is not personally searching for Anna, but if he thinks she is found, he will come after her. Good to have the GM in the same room)

[21:50] Dakoiah: "I've never been to Wormwood. What would we be going for?"
[21:52] Matt: "Help, Anna-san. Among the Cathedral of Light, I have allies. Brothers and Sisters... Those who are familiar with the Unholy's minions and how to combat them properly."
[21:53] Dakoiah: "with the talent we have here, you think we will need others? I have two ships worth of seasoned fighters, plus the group here...."
[21:58] Matt: *makes a face* "It would put my mind at ease, Anna-san. Seasoned your fighters may be. Powerful our group may appear. But what you will lack in this battle is what will spell failure for us all. Experience."
[22:00] Dakoiah: *chuckles softly* "I'm not unseasoned you know. I have a great deal of experience. Having said that, I've avoided Kryang because I knew he was beyond my capabilities by myself. I was hoping with the group, we could figure out a stategy to get to him. I don't have enough money to pay any mercenaries..."
[22:04] Matt: "Mercenaries? Is that who you think I associated with in Wormwood?"
[22:05] Dakoiah: "I couldn't think of a better term" *shrugs* "I would want to repay anyone for any help they could offer. Kryang is my problem..."
[22:08] Matt: *tilts his head slightly* "You would have a common enemy. They are knights and those who battle the Unholy and it's forces wherever they go."
[22:09] Dakoiah: "so they know the enemy. Well, if nothing else, they may be able to help us with strategy...." *looks thoughtful*
[22:11] Matt: "Even knowing our group and their capabilities, I would still call for their assistance. They would be an invaluable source of information as well as battle prowess. Each of them are seasoned veterans, born in a world that I daresay is more lost to darkness and evil than our own."
[22:12] Dakoiah: "I don't want to risk any more people than I have to."
[22:13] Matt: *nods slightly* "I understand your trepidition, Anna-san. And I can do nothing to assuage your fears except that I know what I know and I know what I have seen..."
[22:14] Dakoiah: *nods* "lets start out with asking them for technical help, and if they think we need more fire power than what we have already, we can deal with it from there"
(3628) Elexorien: "Hai, Anna-san. They would be a great asset to us, should they choose to help us in this endeavor. But that will have to be something that we discuss with them. Which means, we will need to request the assistance of Silvie-san..." *makes a face* "I wonder what she will request for payment of her services rendered..."
(3646) Anna: "to get to Wormwood?"
(3628) Elexorien: *nods* "Yes. The Lady and I ended up in Wormwood by an accident... We were only able to get back with the help of a Temporal Raider who was allied with the Cathedral of Light."
(3646) Anna: *nods* "I don't know what she will require as payment. I have a fair amount of coin, she may take some of that"
(3628) Elexorien: "Fortunately, if all goes well, we will arrive within the realm of Light on Wormwood, and not have to spend months going through what we went through in that... other place..."
(3628) Elexorien: "So, hopefully her price will not be steep."
(3646) Anna: "what other place?"
(3628) Elexorien: *makes a face* "The Realm of Darkness... The Unholy's territory."
(3646) Anna: "oh. Yeah, we don't want to end up there. If I lend Silvie enough energy to get us to wormwood, I won't have a lot left over if there is a problem"
(3628) Elexorien: "It would be a problem if that were to happen, yes. Since the Dragon Lines on Wormwood are not nearly as frequent as they are here...." *shakes his head* "However, if we are to have faith in our friend, I will trust her to not land us in any sort of dangerous areas..."
(3646) Anna: *smiles * "like in the middle of a bunch of zombies?"
(3628) Elexorien: "It does not inspire confidence, however, she did take us to where our companions were."
(3628) Elexorien: "Admittedly... several weeks off of their tracks."
(3646) Anna: *grins* "we may be able to find another way there"
(3628) Elexorien: *shrugs* "It might be possible, Anna-san. I will always believe in the possibility for the unbelievable."

(3628) Elexorien: *nod* "Okay. Now, Kyrang's forces... You said he has a few Ram rats, Lizardmen and... Giants? What kinds of giants would flock to the banner of a Rambler?"
(3646) Anna: "I don't know exactly. The numbers change obviously. When he gave me the job, I met with him and there were a few ogres and some trolls. I have heard of some jotan and gigantes, but that's all I've heard of. The giants are a huge proportion of his forces"
(3628) Elexorien: "Monster races... Troublesome, Anna-san, but not something that should be a huge concern. Now, what will the conditions be like for if the time comes when we must do battle?"
(3646) Anna: "well that depends" *wrinkles her brow, thinking* "i think we need to bring Kryang to us. I don't want to fight on his turf, that will be like suicide"
(3646) Anna: "if we let it slip that I've been 'captured', he'll come personally for me. The object I have, he can't take from me. I have to give it to someone in order for it to pass ownership, so he'll come get it from me"
(3628) Elexorien: *raises an eyebrow* "It must be given? It can not pass ownership by force?"
(3646) Anna: "no. I don't know what it is exactly, but it has the power to destroy cities. I was paid to transport it to him, but when I found out what it could do, I didn't want it in the hands of Kryang, we'd all end up in slavery if that happened. So I ran with it. But what I've learned since then makes me even happier I took it"
(3628) Elexorien: *makes a resigned motion* "Then so be it, Anna-san. Well, you do happen to associate with a known slaver and a former pirate..." *makes a face*
(3646) Anna: "it's a highly magical object, a crystal ball with coral on it. An old man I knew, an enlightened immortal by the name of Hoi Wan Mo, told me that the power it had frightened even him. He's the one that told me how it could be transferred from person to person, and I've tested it since then"

(3628) Elexorien: *frowns* "Ringo-san would be your best bet if you wished to spread a rumor suggesting that you have been captured. However, if you choose to take that route, and have him come looking for you, then you will also accept the consequences of involving innocents, if Kyrang should come all this way for you."
(3628) Elexorien: "Also, Kyrangs magic, if it is anything like other Rumblers, focuses on the earth. Which means that even away from the water, you run a risk. On the water, he would have to be on the same boat as us for us to be of any help to you, Anna-san."
(3646) Anna: *shakes her head* "not here. I'd find a place with a lot less people. Less collateral damage." *frowns* "I'm thinking if we are on land, that is better. he can't rot the boat or mast out from under us then"
(3628) Elexorien: "A beach then."
(3628) Elexorien: "However, that also brings it even more of an issue, Anna-san. Your ships serve you no good on land."
(3628) Elexorien: "Your crew, your ship, it would all have to be a... deception..."
(3646) Anna: "no they don't. What I'll do is leave a skeleton crew on them and bring the best fighters with us"
(3628) Elexorien: *frowns* "Anna-san, forgive my ignorance about the sea... But do you not thing that something that a man as wily and cunning as Kyrang would have thought of? Personally speaking, I would be able to tell from a mile away, that your ship would be sparsely crewed..."
(3646) Anna: *smiles* "not necessarily. Ships have a fair amount of space under the deck. And you only have about half your crew working at a time. So I can pull at least half the crew without anyone noticing. But he hopefully won't be looking at the ships, he'll be heading to me. There is a huge bounty on my head, and he's certain that someone will turn me in for the money. " *shrugs* "he's not wrong"
(3628) Elexorien: *frowns and shakes his head* "I am afraid you still do not understand. Ignoring your ship entirely, I would be able to tell how many of a crew you have, Anna-san. Regardless, you believe he will not be concerned about your ship or your crew... Is Kyrang truly that arrogant?"
(3646) Anna: "I believe so. "
(3628) Elexorien: "That is something to our advantage then, if you are correct."
(3646) Anna: "I'm hoping so."
(3628) Elexorien: "He would come for you himself then..." *frowns slightly* "And bring forces. If Kyrang is the kind of evil that I have fought... He will not have any intention on paying this bounty he has on you, once the orb is within his possession."
(3646) Anna: *nods* "that's possible. But a bounty hunter should understand that, and would be expected to take appropriate precautions"
(3628) Elexorien: "Or letting us live... despite his perception that we brought you to him to collect on a bounty..."
(3628) Elexorien: *nods*
(3628) Elexorien: "Then we do what we must, if you should decide to follow my advice... we must prepare to head into a different dimension. Then upon return make sure that there are those around that have heard of your... capture..." *folds his arms over his chest and closes his eyes, taking a deep breath* "I see a plan forming with this information..."

We start the rumor that you have been capture and you run to Wormwood and our group chases after you... While on Wormwood, we can galvanize our forces, call upon the assitance of our allies if they so choose to help us. When we return to Juarez, you are captured... By that time, rumor will have spread of your capture and Kyrang will be on his way..."

(3628) Elexorien: "To those who are not familiar with our group... it will appear as though we discovered your bounty and tried to, as Silvie-san would say, "Cash in" on it. Which is why we followed you..."

(3646) Anna: "ok, but we don't come back to Juarez. What about where we lost Ringo and Chu'Si? there were no extra people there to become collateral damage"
(3628) Elexorien: "That would require a lot of energy Anna-san. You should know this, considering how long it took you to recover your energies, once we were trapped there."
(3628) Elexorien: "Plus... There is the little bit about the fact that we would have to contend with zombies, on top of Kyrang's forces."
(3646) Anna: *shakes her head* "no, the area with the pit traps. Three days from here, not in another dimension"
(3628) Elexorien: "Oh..." *looks a little foolish* "Right. Yes, Anna-san, that would be acceptable."
(3628) Elexorien: "Now the only question you have is... whom would you trust with this plan and to follow through with it, Anna-san?"
(3646) Anna: "I believe...and I can't believe I'm saying this...that Ringo will do it" *looks rather astounded with that*

(3628) Elexorien: "He would probably keep the secret as well as be able to spread the rumor effectively. Considering his connections in this place..."

(3628) Elexorien: *raises an eyebrow* "You seem surprised, Anna-san. Is it by my behavior or by the fact that you and I... are deciding to trust Ringo-san?"
