[06:41:37] (435) Elexorien: We both know where group left off... making camp, having just had it brought to their attention that the "Devouring Horde" has made it's presence known and threatens towns to the east. Camp is (assumedly) made for the day/night amongst our... whatever they are. Pherenike, ever since having learned of our groups potentially untimely demise, has become somber, withdrawn and thought-possessed. Elex, on the other hand was always somber, withdrawn and thought-possessed, he just seems to be to handling it in his usually passive and ethereal manner. Little Girl, bringing up the spirits of all those here, is her usual exuberant and... optimitstically cheerful self. And we start... Where?
[06:45:54] (498) Pherenike: Phere has been more in thought now than she has in recent days.. sometimes she's been making notes on bits of paper, most of which result in small balls that get added to the fire. Eventually she has a piece that doesn't wind up getting tossed in...
[06:48:25] (498) Pherenike: *folds the corners of the paper together, then seals it with a bit of wax. She waits a few more moments before she starts making her way towards Elex* "Elexorien.. could I have.. a.. moment or two?"

[09:18:17] (498) Pherenike: *scratches her head for a moment* "Sparring.. similar perhaps to what I did in training.. though I did not tend to hold back as the instructors would have liked."

[09:20:22] (435) Elexorien: "It is an excellent gauge on how to judge one's own capabilities in a fight... to an extent. Plus, it is an excellent way to refine your own skills, when it comes to doing battle."

[09:24:53] (498) Pherenike: "It would not be as easy for me to fight something imagined.. I have had too many inner battles already.. And.. I would not wish to cause hurt to a friend..." *mentions more quietly* "...and those I had trained with before I left.. I could not view as friends"

[09:27:44] (435) Elexorien: *chuckles lightly* "Most sparring matches are not done with lethal weapons, a pair of boken or shinai, would surfice. Wooden swords... At best, no harm would come, at worst, you are left with a few bruises and bumps. When a sparring match occurs were potentially lethal weapons are used... it is wise to keep a healer nearby. Just in case."

[09:31:25] (498) Pherenike: "We had trained with staves, primarily, which could also be weilded as a sword.. and I broke more than a few because I did not hold back.. was but one way I could wage my protest against the training... ill do those methods of my youth suit me now."
[09:35:01] (435) Elexorien: *chuckles lightly and opens his arms* "There is almost not a one here whom I would call friend, for which I have not engaged in a friendly sparring match or two. Even One-chan and myself have engaged in one... though I am loathe to ask it of her a second time."

[09:41:11] (498) Pherenike: *ponders and nods* "As I do not wish to inflict lasting damage to... my friends, I could learn to.. stay my hand, if it is required. I had put my full strength in my training.. usually the staves suffered more than my opponents....usually."
[09:43:03] (435) Elexorien: "Ah yes... possessing such strength can be fighteningly difficult to control. One must learn to be gentle... and even then... you may end up doing damage to those of... softer nature."
[09:43:52] (509) Little Girl: *nods* "that's why I don't really spar against other people.. especially if I'm stretching my wings."
[09:46:14] (498) Pherenike: "It has been a long time since I even considered holding back.. it is something I will have to work at. Although..." *she pauses, smiling slightly* "...perhaps that will come easier, for now I am in company that I wish to keep for some time, if not longer."
[09:47:59] (435) Elexorien: *smiles solemnly, with a nod* "I would not mind, allowing you to test your skill against me, as well as to provide you with... an alternative perspective, should you require one. As I said, I am always one who is willing to test my skill against another."
