8:43 PM solace: Phere would be sitting, staring again at her pages. She hasn't been doing as much writing, though she's kept her pen poised at the ready
8:44 PM me: Lery sits beside her "Dark thoughts again?"
8:48 PM solace: she shakes her head very slightly before softly replying. "Not dark.. Only...constant."
8:53 PM me: "That's not much better"
8:59 PM solace: she sighs, frowning. "I thought...perhaps even hoped..that the writing would bring the answers I sought. At the least, make things more clear to me."
9:02 PM me: "But you're still not going anywhere with them"
9:12 PM "I thought I was, for a time. But I can no longer be certain of that.."
9:16 PM me: "Let the past stay where it is and we'll worry with the future instead"
9:22 PM solace: She closes her eyes briefly, and lets her shoulders droop. "My thoughts have not been wholly centered on the past. I focus those thoughts to the future, only to have them drift of their own accord back to the past... Thinking is the only thing I have truly done, even as I have divided my time with writing and reading."
9:23 PM frowning, she adds, "I am not certain when the last I was able to do..anything else."
9:26 PM me: "You'll have plenty to do. We are riding to face the dragon that haunts our young... friend"
9:33 PM solace: "I do not believe you understand what I mean. Once I no longer think actively, they drift once more to the past. I focus them to the future, or the present for a time. Yet once I relax, they drift again to the times and places I seek to put behind me.."
9:35 PM she lowers her voice to a whisper. "I have not slept, since I began my writings. My mind remains active, whether I want it to be so, or not."
9:43 PM me: He frowns. "You need to sleep sometime, even the Captain must."
9:49 PM solace: she shrugs slightly. "I cannot argue with you. Yet while those not on watch have their rest, I remain wide awake through the nights. Day comes, and I get through, only to have the same happen at the next night."
9:51 PM "Sleep will eventually take me, but for now, it is elusive while my mind is a whirl of thoughts, of things wanted and unwanted."

solace: "Still...what?" she slams her fist into the ground between them. "What would you have me do, Lery? I have tried to focus my thoughts into words, it has helped, but not enough. I have tried to quiet my mind, only to find it refuses to be silent. What more can I, should I do?!"
10:00 PM me: "I don't know, maybe get drunk, let oblivion take you for a while. But you can't go without sleep forever"

10:08 PM solace: she un-balls her fist as her eyes seem to grow moist. "I do not intend to allow sleep to elude me forever" she mutters in a softer voice. "It is taking its toll.. I know this, I can feel it even as I have not shown it. Yet I feel...powerless."
10:11 PM me: He frowns "If Ringo were here... He told me he has some ambrosia, strong enough to get even the Captain drunk'
10:21 PM solace: "Yet Ringo is not here. Is there an alternative among the party, or perhaps," she continues in an all-serious tone,"I could ask Elexorien to knock me about the head until I lose all consciousness."
10:22 PM me: "I do not think that wise" He frowns "Maybe the Captain has a solution that does not include making you as addled as Cody?"
10:30 PM solace: she sighs quietly. "I suppose there is not much alternative other than to inquire of her."
10:32 PM me: He nods. "Aliza would have ways too..."
10:36 PM solace: "I am not certain I like the sound of that.. but again, Aliza is not here."
me: "Not that. Well... she is skilled at that too, but she's also a powerful psychic"

10:47 PM solace: she nods, hesitantly. "I will talk to her.. when I am able to catch her at a free moment. I do not want to cause the rest concern over me."
